Overview

Ms. Simmons-Daniels is a licensed clinical social worker and licensed clinical addictions counselor.  Additionally, she is certified by the American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors and Therapists (AASECT) as a sex therapist.

Ms. Simmons-Daniels specializes in the treatment of sexual health disorders and sexual trauma. She also has a passion for working with people who struggle with mental and sexual health concerns related to menopause. She spent 10 years working as a substance use disorder counselor prior to specializing in sexual health and brings the knowledge and experience she gained in doing this work to her sexual health and sexual trauma work.  She enjoys working with adult individuals and occasionally does couple’s work. She views patients as experts on themselves.  She believes her role as a therapist is to provide knowledge and skills as well as a therapeutic container where clients can explore with non-judgment, empathy, curiosity, humor and support their concerns and potential solutions.
